Look of the Day: Sharing Happy Holidays

Good day to one and all! ^_^

There's a slew of wonderful freebies coming out for the holidays and I have to share some of these, you just can't miss all of them! First up a cute hairstyle with a flair of holiday spirit, it's long natually wavy and comes with green/red ombre streaks. I'm sporting the black color, but the limited time freebie does include blonde/red/brown/white variations. My top for this outfit is a crimson red knitted turtleneck sweater with gold bows accenting the collar/cuffs and a peekaboo slit that exposes some skin on the chest. This very cute and sexy top was a freebie from Tuli years ago, so please remember to take note that it may no longer be available. The rosy cheeked skin I am wearing was a special edition gift, however, when I visited the shop recently it changed to mainly focus on shoes and jewelry now. I completed my look with a plain black pair of skinny jeans from Pixel Dolls and leather boots from R.icielli.

Crys from PXL Creations

I know it's been awhile, did you miss me? *smiles coyly* It's a new year and I am sure everyone is enjoying it. There have been a lot of new releases lately!

Hart Larsson of PXL creations was in the process of making a new freckled and fair skin named "Crys". I had tried out the demo initially and noticed that he was offering the face template for making custom makeups to his audience on his Flickr site. Me being the makeup fiend that I am, I immediately jumped on that and sent him my own makeup idea. He made it a wonderful reality!



As you can see in this image, there is a deep frosty pink lip paired with sky blue eyeshadow that fades to a soft pink up to the brows. The cheeks are slightly blushed to add to the overall look. I have to mention this, as a fairer haired girl I really do love the brown eyebrows. They're not so light as to start blending in with the skin tone, I still want my eyebrows to be distinctly visible from my skin. So this is a great color for me and medium to fairer hair women. Now to the freckles. It's obvious "Crys" is wearing makeup, but there is a little evidence of freckling on the bridge of my nose and cheeks. It's very subtle, but so adorable! You can see the collar bone here, it soft a subtle as well. It has just enough highlight and shadow to make it noticeable. I find the shape rather lovely. *grins* I know, I'm odd! But you cannot overlook the details ladies! Your fellas might not notice those areas, but in the end it brings your overall look together. Now onto the body shots:



The stomach is nicely defined, but not overly so. You still look like a woman, not a she-hulk! There are gorgeous highlights on the breasts, thighs, shins, back, buttocks and calves. Giving the skin a lovely yet natural glow. Also, adding to the illusion of a supple and feminine body.



I censored this because I do understand not everyone wants to see pixelated nudity. *winks* It's really a shame though, because the covered areas are really some of the more detailed and pretty out there on the market. Anyway, I needed to share this particular image because it better displays my favorite part of the body. Where the hips, pelvis, and thighs all meet. There is appropriate shadowing and highlights just where your hips would naturally protrude slightly. My goodness, it's really gorgeous. *squeals with glee* Here I go again, jabbering on about how much I like these odd little places on the body. *sticks tongue out playfully* Well, I do hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. If you like this, I may start trying to make some new makeup ideas for Hart to incorporate in future releases.

Warrior Queen Voodoo

Dark Eden released a new armor outfit today. And boy is it hot! If you like the dangerous but sexy look. ~_^ It's called Erebus and I grabbed the Mega set for 300 lindens Copy/Modable, but you can buy shoes or gloves separately for a cheaper price. It comes with everything seen here on my body (except my cat tail), plus a head piece that I am not wearing in this particular shot. I'm wearing my favorite forehead adornment by Random Calliope, not included with this set from Dark Eden. The prims are color changeable by script. I have the armor set to lightblue and the cloth set to purple here. Everything comes in 3 sizes, so you have an easier time fitting it on your avatar. The purple ribbons seen here are flexi too.

I am featuring a brand new skin from Vanity Body! This one is Covergirl in the Mocha skin tone, with the glossy skin. The eyebrows are very dark and defined - there's a Monroe beauty mark as well. It costs 1000 lindens and is Copy only.

New Makeups @ CRS

More new makeups! This time with a little fairy-tale flair to them. They all have sparkling stars below the eyebrow arch.

Violet Winks: Has a light purple and pink eyeshadow shimmer with glossy purple lips.

Blue Moon: Has a light blue eyeshadow shimmer and dark blue lips.

Cotton Candy: Pink eyeshadow and pink lips.

Fairy Glitter: The eyeshadow is a light golden fade in pink on the lids. The lipstick is nude colored and glossy. (my personal favorite of this group)

Crying Rose Studio - Skins!

I discovered this lovely skin a few days ago in Samurai Tokyo!
Right now it is only available in Tan, but does have 4 makeups. All of the skins have a Marilyn Monroe like mole, which is very charming. The eyebrows are black and appear to only be available in black at this time. Neck and clavicle are nicely defined, but not overly so. The nipples are clear, large, pinkish-purple, with small areolas. The breast area has complete shadowing around them, with a soft lighting settling at the top inner cleavage. The stomach lighting adds some athletic looking build with a cute shaded navel! There are crease shadows where there should be: hip/thigh meeting, elbows, knees, rear. The hands and feet have a lovely clean French manicure. And lastly, the kitty matches the nipples in color and is clearly visible. It's shaven into a black landing strip.














The Simply Angelic makeup features a lovely pair of pouty, Angelina-Jolie-esque lips. They're slightly darker and pinker from a nude tone, but the closest to no makeup featured in this set. The eyeshadow is a subtle brown around the eyeliner and defined lids.

The Diva Kiss makeup is the same pouty pink lips, but added shine and dark brown lip liner around the lips. Heavy black eyeliner and darker eyeshadow completes this look. (I think this is my favorite, though it is so hard to choose!)

The Forbidden Fruit makeup has a dark and shiny wine lipstick, paired with deep wine eyeshadow.

The Moulin Nights makeup has a classic red lip without shine, completed with smoky eyeshadow.

The complete set is 6000 lindens and singles are 2000 lindens. I would feature non demo skins, but I don't have that kind of money saved up. =P (donations are welcome of course!) CRS skin are truly beautiful and artfully done. I would definitely suggest that if you like the smooth hand drawn look over the rough realistic skins, try this one!
